Until the end of time as we know it, there will always be something for us to read. More than 1900 years ago, one of Jesus' closest friends - John - wrote: "Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written."
I look at my library at home and conclude: "NO KIDDING!"
If you can find a copy, here is a book that helped me a great deal during the research and writing for my D.Min. program. The author offers much to think about when it comes to the life we have and live in Christ. This is not a fast read - but is worth it!
THE DIVINE CONSPIRACY: Rediscovering Our Hidden Life in God by Dallas Willard and published by HarperCollins in 1998.
I attended the National House Church Conference last year. As part of that experience, I participated in a "sectional" put on by Paul Vieira. I thought it was quite good! For your future reading pleasure, pick up his Jesus Has Left the Building (published in 2006 by Karis Publishing). This tells the story of his journey from "church ministry" to ministry as a Christian in the local culture where he lives. I especially like his seven descriptors of what it is to be a Christ follower in the world today.
